Avakov, Qatari PM discuss preparation for signing agreements during Zelensky's visit in April

Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov and Prime Minister of Qatar Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al Thani discussed preparations for signing bilateral agreements during the state visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to Doha in April.

This was reported by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine on Facebook.

The parties discussed cooperation in the police, economic and military spheres in preparation for the signing of bilateral agreements during the upcoming state visit of President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to Qatar in April.

"Our bilateral relations with Qatar have great potential. We are close to signing a number of intergovernmental agreements, which we expect to be ratified in the nearest future. We have good cooperation on military-technical supplies," Avakov said.

Recently, the Qatari side bought Ukrainian missiles. "I hope this is not the last mutually beneficial cooperation, because Ukraine is one of the world leaders in rocketry," the minister stressed.

As reported, on March 16, Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov took part in the Milipol Qatar 2021 international event for homeland security and civil defence in the Middle East.
