Zelensky arrives in Poland
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has arrived in Poland, where he will meet with Polish President Karol Nawrocki.
The Office of the President of Ukraine told this to Ukrinform.
The visit will begin with an official welcoming ceremony for Zelensky and Nawrocki outside the Presidential Palace. After one-on-one talks between the two leaders and negotiations in a delegation format, the presidents will meet with the media.
Later, Zelensky will lay a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The program of the visit to Warsaw also includes Zelensky's meetings with Marshal of the Sejm Wlodzimierz Czarzasty and Marshal of the Senate Malgorzata Kidawa-Blonska. In the Polish parliament, Zelensky will lay flowers at the memorial honoring Polish lawmakers who died during World War II.
The visit will conclude with talks between President Zelensky and Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk.
Tusk previously said he might remain at the European Council summit in Warsaw on Friday, December 19, but Zelensky promised to wait for him during his visit to Poland.
Earlier, Zelensky said he would agree to visit Poland on Friday, December 19.
The Polish presidential office confirmed the invitation for the Ukrainian leader to visit Warsaw on December 19. During the talks, Zelensky and Nawrocki will discuss security, economic, and historical issues.
