Reznikov, EU commissioner discuss access of observers to occupied Donbas

Vice Prime Minister - Minister for Reintegration of Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Reznikov and EU Commissioner for Crisis Management Janez Lenarči discussed the issues of access of international observers to the temporarily occupied territories, demining in the JFO area, and the possibility of deploying humanitarian camps along the administrative border with the Autonomous Republic of Crimea to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

This was reported by the press service of the Ministry for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine.

During the online conversation, the officials discussed the need to provide international organizations with access throughout Ukraine, including the temporarily occupied territories. Separately, they discussed Donbas, where the occupation regimes keep Ukrainian citizens in captivity, in particular, in the so-called isolation.

The parties also discussed issues of humanitarian demining and the situation with COVID-19 in Ukraine. In particular, Reznikov announced Ukraine's readiness to deploy humanitarian camps near the administrative border with Crimea.

The Vice PM invited the EU Commissioner for Crisis Management to pay an official visit to Ukraine.
