Swedish foreign minister visits Donbas to see consequences of Russian aggression

Swedish Foreign Minister Ann Linde has visited Donbas, where she got acquainted with the consequences of Russian aggression, the security situation in the region and the work of checkpoints.

“Accompanied Sweden’s Foreign Minister Ann Linde on a trip to Donbas. Visited Stanytsia Luhanska, witnessed results of Russia’s aggression, inspected security situation after disengagement, working check-point and restored bridge. Grateful to Swedish friends for support,” Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Yehor Bozhok wrote on his Twitter account.

In turn, the Swedish foreign minister posted on Twitter pictures from the bridge over the contact line at Stanytsia Luhanska. “The Russian aggression has caused tragic devastation and suffering. Still, the OSCE SMM & hum’ partners such as UN Ukraine do an impressive work. Highly motivated for Sweden’s OSCE chairpersonship 2021,” she wrote.

As reported, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Sweden Ann Linde is on a working visit to Ukraine on March 2-3.
