Ukraine's Honorary Consulate opens in Philadelphia
The Honorary Consulate of Ukraine has opened in Philadelphia, the U.S. state of Pennsylvania, according to the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine.
"We are making every effort to become closer and more efficient for Ukrainians living or staying in the United States, so today we signed an agreement to create a new honorary consulate of Ukraine in Philadelphia (Pennsylvania), one of the largest cities on the east coast of the United States and the former temporary capital of the United States," the embassy wrote on its Facebook page on Jan. 11.
Ambassador of Ukraine to the U.S. Volodymyr Yelchenko and recently appointed Honorary Consul Iryna Mazur took part in the ceremony.
As reported, on January 7, the newly appointed ambassador of Ukraine to the United States, Volodymyr Yelchenko, presented his credentials to U.S. President Donald Trump.
