Netanyahu invites Zelensky to visit Jerusalem

Prime Minister of the State of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu has invited President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky to visit the city of Jerusalem.

Netanyahu said this during a joint briefing with Zelensky in Kyiv on Monday, August 19, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I was here 20 years ago. I see the changes that have occurred and I see your desire to accelerate these changes. So, I'd like to take this opportunity to invite you to Jerusalem. We have already agreed that it will be next week ... Well, if not next week, then at least very soon. We invite you to our capital,” Netanyahu said.

As Ukrinform reported, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is on a two-day visit to Kyiv. This is his first visit to Ukraine over the past 20 years.
