Poroshenko dismisses Head of Presidential Administration Rainin

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has dismissed Ihor Rainin as head of the Presidential Administration.

A decree to that effect, No. 296/2019, was published on the website of the head of state on May 19.

Before 2001, Rainin held various senior positions at enterprises in Kharkiv region. In 2014, he served as acting deputy head and first deputy head of Kharkiv Regional State Administration. Between November 17, 2014 and February 3, 2015, he worked as deputy head of the Presidential Administration of Ukraine. From February 3, 2015, he took up the post of Kharkiv regional governor.

On August 29, 2016, Rainin replaced Borys Lozhkin as head of the Presidential Administration.

On May 19, Poroshenko dismissed Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration Serhiy Marchenko.
