U.S. intelligence community to cooperate with defense intelligence of Ukraine

The United States Intelligence Community (IC) will help strengthen the ability of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of Ukraine’s Defense Ministry to counteract Russia’s armed aggression.

Relevant agreements were reached during the official visit of the Chief of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine, Colonel General Vasyl Burba to Washington, D.C., the press service of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine reported.

According to the results of the meeting, a number of agreements regarding cooperation and assistance of the American side in strengthening capabilities of the Defense Intelligence of Ukraine to counter Russia’s armed aggression was reached.

During the negotiations with Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Robert Ashley, the leadership of the Central Intelligence Agency and the high officials of the U.S. Intelligence Community, Colonel General Vasyl Burba put emphasis on Russia’s aggressive and provocative actions in the occupied territories of Ukraine and in the region of the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

In the course of the meeting, the chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine discussed with the American colleagues irrefutable evidence of further intentions of the Russian Federation to destabilize situation in Ukraine, European countries and other regions of the world.
