Law on Ukraine's course for EU, NATO published

The law introducing amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine regarding the country's course for membership in the EU and NATO has been published in the parliament's Holos Ukrainy newspaper.

The text of the law has been posted on the website of the newspaper. The law will take effect on February 21.

On February 19, President Petro Poroshenko signed the law introducing changes to the Constitution regarding the strategic course of the state for gaining full membership of the European Union and NATO. The head of state signed the document during his speech in the Verkhovna Rada.

The parliament approved the law on February 7, with 334 MPs voting for the decision.

The document introduces amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine, which secure the irreversibility of the strategic course of the state for gaining full membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
