Moscow again blocks search for missing Ukrainians in Donbas

Russia again blocks the search for Ukrainian citizens who were reported missing in Donbas.

First Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Iryna Gerashchenko informed this on Facebook on the results of a meeting of the humanitarian subgroup of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk.

“Russia has once again blocked the creation of a mechanism to search for missing persons. Russia refused to provide its forensic experts to such a group and stated that the Russian Federation was not a party to the conflict,” she said.

Gerashchenko reported that the representatives of Ukraine today once again handed over to the OSCE the lists of hundreds of missing Ukrainian citizens with a request to make every effort to intensify the search.

In addition, Ukraine handed over the lists of more than 60 Ukrainians who were illegally detained in the occupied territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

She recalled that today it was the 101st meeting of the humanitarian subgroup in this year. Unfortunately, it was the pointless meeting due to the position of the Russian Federation and its puppets.
