Meeting in Normandy format should be held in early June - Poroshenko

Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko has said that a meeting in the Normandy format should be held in early June.

He stated this at a joint press conference with Slovenian President Borut Pahor in Kyiv on Friday, an Ukrinform correspondent reported.

"An attempt will be made to agree on such an agenda for preparing a meeting in the Normandy format. For example, I think that it can and should be held in early June," Poroshenko said.

At the same time, he noted that "attempts to preliminarily approve" such a meeting would be made on May 23-24.
