Ukraine terminates agreement with Russia on supply of weapons and military equipment

The Cabinet of Ministers adopted a draft resolution on the termination of the agreement between the Government of Ukraine and the Government of the Russian Federation on the mutual supply of arms and military equipment, components and spare parts, repair management and provision of military services.

This decision was made at a meeting of the government on Wednesday with a package of other documents without debate, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

The agreement was signed on February 8, 1995 and came into force on the same day. The document states that Ukraine and Russia without the consent could not transfer or sell military goods to individuals and legal entities and governments of third countries.
