Groysman discusses implementation of reforms with Steinmeier and Ayrault

Foreign Minister of Germany Frank-Walter Steinmeier and Foreign Minister of France Jean-Marc Ayrault have held a meeting with Ukrainian Verkhovna Rada Chairman Volodymyr Groysman.

During the meeting the foreign ministers said Germany and France would continue to support Ukraine, but at the same time noted the importance of further reforms, the Verkhovna Rada press service reports.

“They said that the European Union needs a clear signal from Ukraine that reforms will be carried out in spite of complicated political situation in the country,” reads a report.

Groysman, in turn, assured: “We are moving forward, we have no thoughts to stop on the way of reforms”.

Commenting on the political situation in the country, the speaker said that he initiated a roundtable meeting with the participation of the president, the prime minister, key political forces of the parliament and civil society so as to establish a dialog and find ways out of the crisis.

“The way out of crisis, a dialog, the renewal of coalition and government should promote the efficiency of carrying out of reforms, but not their halt,” Groysman assured.
