Klitschko says 244 buildings remain without heating in Kyiv

In Kyiv, following an accident in the country's energy system, 244 buildings remain without heat supply.

Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko stated this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

He recalled that due to the large-scale outage on Saturday, January 31, a total of 3,419 apartment buildings were left without heating.

Municipal services and energy workers continue efforts to restore heat to residents' homes.

As Ukrinform previously reported, on the morning of January 31, a technological failure between the power systems of Romania, Moldova, and Ukraine caused a cascade outage in Ukraine's electricity grid, triggering automatic protection systems at substations. The most severe consequences were felt in Kyiv and central Ukraine, as well as in Chernihiv, Kharkiv, Vinnytsia, and Sumy regions.
