Ukraine’s Emergency Service warns of avalanche, landslide risks in Carpathians

A considerable avalanche danger is expected in Ukraine’s Carpathian Mountains.

The State Emergency Service reported this with reference to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center's forecasts.

"On January 25, a considerable avalanche danger (level 3) is expected in the high-mountain area of Zakarpattia region due to thaw and rain," the report reads.

In addition, there is a risk of landslides on the roads.
