Ukrainian woman among victims of plane crash at Moscow's Sheremetyevo airport

A citizen of Ukraine was injured after a plane caught fire during an emergency landing at Moscow’s Sheremetyevo Airport on May 5.

Ukrinform learnt this from Deputy Director of the Consular Service Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Vasyl Kyrylych.

"According to preliminary information, a Ukrainian woman was injured [in a plane crash at Sheremetyevo International Airport]. She was hospitalized and provided with the necessary medical care," Kyrylych said.

As reported, 41 people on board the Russian Aeroflot passenger plane, Sukhoi Superjet 100, were killed on Sunday, including two children, after the aircraft caught fire as it made a bumpy emergency landing at the Moscow airport.
