Ukraine receives another €2.8 billion under Ukraine Facility program

Ukraine has received the seventh tranche of funding from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility program, totaling €2.8 billion.

According to Ukrinform, Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram.

“Ukraine has received the seventh tranche of funding from the European Union under the Ukraine Facility, totaling €2.8 billion. Taking into account the repayment of previously provided advance funding, the state budget has actually received €2.6 billion. The total amount of funding under this mechanism has exceeded 29.4 billion euros,” the head of government wrote.

According to her, the funds will be directed toward financing priority expenditures of the state budget, in particular, social and humanitarian needs.

To receive this tranche, Ukraine fulfilled 11 indicators under the Ukraine Facility Plan, covering reforms in public administration, economic policy, energy, digitalization, and the rule of law.

In addition, several conditions for subsequent funding stages were met ahead of schedule, enabling Ukraine to receive additional compensation for the early fulfillment of reform commitments for the first time.

As of the end of May 2026, Ukraine has already implemented 86 measures of the Plan, with another 65 at various stages of implementation. The government continues to systematically implement the necessary changes to ensure economic stability, the country’s recovery, and progress toward EU membership.

As reported, the Verkhovna Rada has passed a law to ratify an agreement for €90 billion in macro-financial assistance in the form of a loan to Ukraine.
