Gas production facility in Poltava region shuts down following Russian attack

A gas production facility in the Poltava region has suspended operations due to a Russian attack.

According to Ukrinform, Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz Group, reported this on Facebook.

“Throughout yesterday and last night, they struck a Naftogaz Group facility that provides gas production in the Poltava region. The attack caused a fire. The equipment sustained significant damage, and the facility has been shut down,” Koretskyi wrote.

He added that since the beginning of 2026, Russia has attacked the Naftogaz Group’s infrastructure nearly 40 times.

As reported by Ukrinform, on March 26 in Kherson, Russian troops shelled a thermal power plant with artillery, killing a 66-year-old employee.
