Some gas production facilities halt operations in Poltava region following Russian drone attack

In the Poltava region, part of the gas production facilities suspended operations on March 8 after a Russian drone strike.

The Naftogaz Group reported this on Facebook, as cited by Ukrinform.

“For the second consecutive day, Russia has been carrying out massive drone attacks on Naftogaz’s gas production facilities in the Poltava region. Operations at some facilities had to be halted. There are damages and losses,” the statement said.

Naftogaz emphasized that no one was injured in the attacks.

“Our specialists, together with units of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine, are working on site to eliminate the consequences of the attacks. Assessment of the damage and planning of next steps is ongoing,” the company added.

The company also expressed gratitude to rescuers and employees for their rapid response under difficult conditions.

As reported, on March 8, Russian forces struck an industrial enterprise in the Myrhorod district, Poltava region, damaging equipment.
