Ukraine preparing new routes for US gas supplies – Zelensky

Ukraine has received its first shipment of U.S. liquefied gas this year and is now preparing new supply routes.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said this in his nightly video address, Ukrinform reports.

"I thank all state-owned companies that are providing assistance – Ukrzaliznytsia, Naftogaz – as well as all municipal utilities and all energy companies," he said.

According to Zelensky, Naftogaz has also secured the first shipment of liquefied natural gas this year – from the United States.

"This additional import is necessary for us because the Russians have destroyed a significant part of our domestic production," he said.
