Under the “SvitloDim” program, apartment buildings will receive up to UAH 300,000 to install autonomous power supply systems.
Ukrinform reports that Prime Minister Yuliia Svyrydenko announced this on Telegram.
“We held an energy-focused Cabinet meeting and approved an additional package of measures to support people and businesses amid limited energy supply. We are launching ‘SvitloDim’ – a program to support apartment buildings with autonomous power supply during prolonged outages,” Svyrydenko said.
According to her, the government decided to provide state support ranging from UAH 100,000 to 300,000 for homeowners’ associations, residential and service cooperatives, and managers of apartment buildings of any ownership type to purchase generators, batteries, inverters, and other energy equipment. Associations of co-owners and building managers can apply online via the Diia platform.
Applications are reviewed and approved by a commission under the Ministry of Communities and Territories Development.
Funds must be used within 45 days.
The program will operate in communities facing emergency energy situations, starting with Kyiv and the Kyiv region. The Ministry of Communities will provide additional information on the start of application submissions.
As reported by Ukrinform, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denys Shmyhal stated that at a meeting of the Headquarters for Eliminating the Consequences of the Emergency Situation in Kyiv’s Power Systems, concrete steps were developed to replace generation from damaged CHP plants with distributed power sources.
