Ferrexpo suspending operations in Ukraine due to power supply problems
Enterprises of the Ferrexpo Group in Ukraine are temporarily suspending operations due to electricity supply disruptions, with some employees placed on leave.
According to Ukrinform, the company’s press service reported this.
“Further to the previous announcement on 8 November 2025 (which referred to the temporary suspension of production at the Yeristove and Poltava Mining and Processing Plants in the Poltava region after Russian attacks – ed.), there have been further attacks on Ukrainian electricity generation and transmission infrastructure, and the supply of power to the Company's operations has once again been affected,” the statement said.
The company emphasized that management has decided to temporarily suspend operations and place a part of the workforce on furlough until the supply of electricity can be assured on a sustainable basis in the volumes required.
At the same time, the company noted that no reports of fatalities or injuries among employees were received during the attacks, and no damage was caused to its operating assets.
As reported earlier, Ferrexpo reduced its iron ore production in 2025 by 9%, to 6.14 million tons.
