Russians try to disrupt energy supply in specific regions of Ukraine, says expert
The enemy is currently focusing its efforts on massive attacks on energy infrastructure in specific regions.
This assessment was expressed at a briefing by Oleksandr Kharchenko, Managing Director of the Energy Industry Research Center, according to Ukrinform.
“They [the Russians] have changed their tactics again, switching to strikes on specific energy regions and trying to create the most difficult situation possible in a specific region,” Kharchenko said.
The expert noted that the Russians are succeeding in creating energy supply problems in specific areas. According to him, the tactics chosen by the enemy significantly complicate the work of air defense.
At the same time, the Russians continue to attack infrastructure along the line of combat and the border.
As reported, on the night of January 9, the Russians launched a massive attack on Kyiv, leaving 417,000 customers without electricity and 6,000 apartment buildings without heat.
