Critical infrastructure, administrative buildings will be switched to generators in Zaporizhzhia region
In Zaporizhzhia, strict hourly power outage schedules are in effect. To provide more electricity for residents, energy workers will transfer administrative buildings and critical infrastructure facilities to generator power.
The head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, Ivan Fedorov, said this during a TV broadcast, Ukrinform reports.
"We have found ways to disconnect more critical infrastructure by switching it to generators, and to schedule shutdowns after 17:00 so that our residents can have more electricity," he said.
Fedorov added that such facilities will also be disconnected on weekends so that residents can have more time with electricity.
The third measure is to disconnect administrative buildings while providing them with generators.
Earlier, it was reported that in some homes in Zaporizhzhia, power outages last 14–16 hours.
