Ukraine to open defense industry offices not only in Europe but also in US, Global South – NSDC
Ukraine will open representative offices of its defense industry for arms sales not only in Europe but also in the United States and countries of the Global South.
According to an Ukrinform correspondent, Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) Secretary Rustem Umerov and Presidential Advisor on Strategic Issues Oleksandr Kamyshin said this at a meeting with journalists dedicated to the resumption of Ukraine's arms exports.
"Ukraine is opening its first defense industry representative offices in Berlin and Copenhagen. This is symbolic, as Germany and Denmark have been the largest investors in the development of Ukraine's defense industry," Kamyshin said.
The offices will serve as showcases for Ukrainian technologies, places where people can see how Ukrainian weapons work and what makes Ukraine a leader in the drone sector. These offices will not only function as showrooms but also as platforms for collaboration with governments, armies, and businesses.
Kamyshin stressed that each office would have three zones: an open area (for demonstrations and public events), a closed area (for military planners), and an office area (for negotiations and contracts). The format will combine public communication, technical dialogue, and business elements.
The participants emphasized that further plans included the opening of offices in the United States and Global South countries. The goal is to bring Ukraine's defense expertise to all regions of the world and establish it as a strategic brand.
The NSDC promised to provide specific details on the number of offices and their locations in due course.
On November 3, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that this year Ukraine will open two offices for selling surplus weapons and weapons produced under co-production agreements.
