Ukraine harvests over 2.1M t of new crop grain

As of July 14, 2023, Ukraine harvested 2.157 million tonnes of grains and legumes on 643,800 hectares with a yield of 33.5 centners/ha.

According to Ukrinform, the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine reported this.

Farmers in 22 regions have already threshed 1.3 million tonnes of barley on 352,400 hectares (yield, 37.2 c/ha), 778,700 tonnes of wheat on 211,800 hectares (yield, 36.8 c/ha), and 93,700 tonnes of peas on 45,000 hectares (yield, 20.8 c/ha).

The largest amount of grain was harvested in Odesa region, 746,000 tonnes. Mykolaiv region is the leader in harvesting, with 213,000 hectares of grain collected.

In addition, 12 regions have started gathering winter rapeseed. It was harvested on 158,000 hectares, yielding 329,500 tonnes of seeds at 20.8 c/ha.

As Ukrinform reported, Ukrainian farmers started harvesting new crops on June 23, 2023.

Ukrainian Grain Association predicts that in 2023 Ukraine will collect 69 million tonnes of grains and oilseeds.
