Government allocates UAH 588M for seven regions to implement reconstruction projects – PM Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is allocating UAH 588 million for the budgets in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava and Kharkiv regions to implement reconstruction projects this year.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Ukrainian government, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Today we have endorsed a decision to earmark an additional subvention for the regions. A total of UAH 588 million will be allocated for the budgets in the Dnipropetrovsk, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Kyiv, Odesa, Poltava and Kharkiv regions to implement 26 projects this year as part of the joint emergency program with the European Investment Bank (EIB),” Shmyhal noted.

In his words, these 26 projects are aimed at restoring hospitals, educational institutions, administrative services centers, community and cultural centers.

According to Shmyhal, the Ukrainian government will continue providing assistance to the regions and communities that had been most affected by hostilities.
