Russia attacking Naftogaz facilities for second consecutive day
Production facilities in the Poltava region came under enemy attack, while strikes on facilities in the Sumy region are still ongoing.
As reported by Ukrinform, this was announced on Facebook by Sergii Koretskyi, CEO of Naftogaz of Ukraine.
“For the second day in a row, Russians have been attacking oil and gas facilities of the Naftogaz Group. Over the past day, the enemy once again shelled our production assets in the Poltava region and carried out new massive attacks in the Sumy region, which are still ongoing,” Koretskyi wrote.
He noted that there were no casualties, but equipment was damaged and destroyed. Units of the State Emergency Service and other services are working at the strike sites. After the security situation stabilizes, Naftogaz specialists will begin eliminating the consequences of the attack.
Koretskyi also stressed that this was already the 20th attack on Naftogaz infrastructure since the beginning of the year.
As reported, on the night of February 8, Russian forces carried out a massive drone attack on Naftogaz facilities in the Poltava region.
