Government allocating additional UAH 3.1 billion to regions and communities – Shmyhal

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine is allocating additional UAH 3.1 billion to regions and communities.

Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal announced this on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.

"The government is allocating additional UAH 3.1 billion to regions and communities. This is a subsidy to local budgets to strengthen their capacities. 516 territorial communities and 4 regions will receive the funds: Donetsk region, Luhansk region, Kherson region and Zaporizhzhia region," Shmyhal said.

He noted that this is already the second additional subsidy to the most war-torn regions of Ukraine.

"Two months ago, the Government allocated UAH 10.2 billion for 17 regions and 853 communities," the Prime Minister reminded.

As reported, in March, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that over UAH 10.2 billion will be transferred to regions and communities to exercise their powers, finance salaries and pay for utility services.
