The International Monetary Fund (IMF) is finalizing a new four-year lending program worth $15.6 billion for Ukraine.

That's according to the Financial Times, Ukrinform reports.

In the initial discussions between representatives of the IMF and Ukraine, the size of the loan had been discussed at between $14 billion and $16 billion.

In 2022, the IMF granted Ukraine $2.7 billion in emergency funding.

The country has received about $25 billion in budget support from the U.S. and the EU since Russia launched its full-scale invasion in February 2022, according to data released on March 15 by Ukraine's Finance Ministry.

In total, Ukraine has received more than $38 billion in budget support from countries and international financial institutions since the beginning of the war.
