Zelensky meets with IMF managing director

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has met with IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva in Kyiv and thanked her for supporting Ukraine since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion.

The head of state said this in a post on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.

"The IMF's support creates an opportunity for Ukraine to remain strong. It is also a weapon - an economic weapon that allows us, our society, and our business to develop. We really want business to develop, we want investments to come, and we know that the IMF always gives the right signals through its activities," Zelensky said.

He thanked Georgieva for the visit and for supporting Ukraine since the first days of Russia's full-scale invasion. "It's nice that we are in focus of your attention," Zelensky said.
