SBI issues notice of suspicion to ex-energy minister Nasalyk

Ukraine's State Bureau of Investigation (SBI) has issued a notice of suspicion to former Ukrainian Energy and Coal Industry Minister Ihor Nasalyk.

An SBI representative familiar with the matter said this in a comment to Ukrinform.

The ex-minister is charged with signing UAH 1.5 billion worth of contracts that were unprofitable to the state.

According to the investigation, the contracts were in favor of companies associated with oligarch Dmytro Firtash.

The SBI has not yet officially commented on this situation.
