Ukraine exports more than 50M tonnes of agricultural products in 2022

Ukraine exported more than 50 million tonnes of grain, oil crops and their processing products in 2022.

This was stated by First Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Taras Vysotskyi, Ukrinform reports with reference to the ministry's press service.

He noted that such an export figure is a good result, taking into account the fact that the war in Ukraine lasted almost the whole year.

According to Vysotskyi, the year 2022 was one of the best in recent years in terms of export indicators.

"Ukraine remains one of the main players on the international agricultural market, and the state of production and the prospects for agricultural products’ exports from Ukraine definitely affect international prices. Currently, they remain high, including due to the continuation of the war, so the prospects for their reduction are not yet visible," the deputy minister said.

In his opinion, if Ukraine is not able to fully return its cultivated areas and increase production volumes, the situation in the price policy in the world will not change for the better.

As reported by Ukrinform, according to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, Ukraine exported almost 39 million tonnes of grain, oil crops and their processing products from February 24 to December 31, 2022.
