Ukraine received more than 200 power equipment shipments – PM Shmyhal

Ukraine has already received more than 200 power equipment shipments.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal at a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Every day new initiatives emerge in support of Ukraine and Ukrainians in Europe and across the world. More than 200 power equipment shipments have already arrived. The European Union promised to mobilize 900 generators for us. We are grateful and appreciate this gesture of solidarity,” Shmyhal said.

In his words, this year businesses and individuals have delivered 500,000 generators to Ukraine, mostly low-power ones. Meanwhile, partners are providing large generator units, which can power important objects, such as health institutions or water pumping stations.

“The soldiers of the energy front successfully counteract Russian barbarians every day, every hour, every minute. Thanks to their heroism, we have withstood nine massive attacks and many smaller ones on Ukraine’s energy system,” Shmyhal added.

A reminder that Russians have fired over 1,000 missiles and drones at Ukraine’s energy facilities since October 10, 2022.
