The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) launches the process of opening a regional office in Ukraine.

“An agreement was just concluded in Paris which officially underpins the launch of the so-called OECD Kyiv Liaison Office. Since Ukraine is recognized as a potential OECD member, the office will initially function until 2026 to support our state during the recovery,” Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal posted on Telegram.

It is noteworthy that the OECD was a co-executor of the Marshall Plan and now helps to develop a recovery plan for Ukraine, the PM added and thanked the OECD for support.

In addition, as Shmyhal noted, this month the Government received a description of the OECD program provisions which will help implement the Organisation's standards in various sectors.

"We are ready to jointly start its preparation in order to join the club of successful countries as soon as possible. This will mark Ukraine's readiness to join the EU and will contribute to the consolidation of our country as a regional leader," the Prime Minister emphasized.

As reported, the Prime Minister, First Lady, and government officials make a working visit to France.
