Power units of Khmelnytskyi NPP disconnected from power grid

Power units of the Khmelnytskyi NPP have been disconnected from power system following Wednesday’s Russian missile strike on energy infrastructure across Ukraine.

That’s according to Serhiy Hamalii, head of Khmelnytskyi regional military administration, who reported the news on Telegram, Ukrinform saw.

"KHNPP power units are disconnected from the power system," the report reads.

Hamalii also reported that as a result of missile attacks on infrastructure facilities, power grids are switched off and there is currently no power supply to most communities of the region.

Part of the city of Khmelnytskyi is without water.

The reason for the complete blackout is mass terrorist missile attacks on energy facilities throughout the country.

As reported by Ukrinform, as a result of the massive Russian missile strike, a number of objects of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure were damaged so emergency shutdowns are being applied in all regions.
