Ukraine’s Minister of Energy German Galushchenko has met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Ukraine Harsh Kumar Jain.

According to the Ministry of Energy, Galushchenko informed the Indian side about the significant destruction of Ukraine's energy infrastructure by Russia’s massive missile attacks, as well as about temporary electricity supply restrictions for a large number of Ukrainian consumers.

The Ukrainian minister emphasized that energy companies are making huge efforts to restore electricity supply.

"There are only a few days left until winter, and we need to restore electricity supply chains as soon as possible. The word ‘urgent’ is too weak to describe how promptly we have to do this," Galushchenko said.

The Ambassador of India to Ukraine assured the Ukrainian side of full support and readiness to provide the necessary assistance.

As Ukrinform reported, on November 17, DTEK's Executive Director Dmytro Sakharuk said that up to 40% of consumers are currently without electricity due to large-scale damage to energy facilities. In some areas, there will be no electricity supply for several days.
