The vessel IKARIA ANGEL, carrying 40,000 tonnes of grain for Ethiopia, has been unable to leave the Ukrainian port today, as Russia resumed blockade after withdrawing from the ‘grain deal’.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov on Twitter, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“These foodstuffs were intended for Ethiopians that are on the verge of famine. But due to the blockage of the “grain corridor” by Russia the export is impossible,” Kubrakov noted.

A reminder that, on October 29, 2022, Russia announced its withdrawal from the Black Sea Grain Initiative, allegedly due to drone attacks on the bay of Sevastopol.
