Ukraine increases grain exports by 20-30% every month - Solskyi

Ukraine increases grain exports by 20-30% every month, according to Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solskyi.

"The work is carried out in this direction (grain exports - ed.) every day. This is evidenced by the monthly increase in export volumes by 20-30%," Solskyi said in an interview with Ukrinform.

He noted that overall, taking into account the sea route, Ukraine in August exported almost 4.6 million tonnes of grain, of which about 3 million tonnes were exported by rail, road transport and through the Danube River.

At the same time, he called the Polish direction of grain export "very promising".

The minister stressed that the work is carried out every day to raise the volume of grain exports. He noted that one of the options for improving the situation with grain exports is the provision of subsidies in the EU countries for the production of a sufficient number of grain carriers.

Russia has been waging a full-scale war against Ukraine since February 24. Since then, Russia has blocked grain exports from Ukrainian ports in the Black Sea. The grain corridor for Ukrainian grain exports was established in early August 2022.
