Finance Ministry places war bonds worth UAH 47.3M

On September 6, 2022, the Ukrainian Finance Ministry raised UAH 47.347 million in the state budget from the sale of war bonds.

The relevant statement was made by the Ukrainian Finance Ministry, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Following the placement of domestic government bonds on September 6, 2022, a total of UAH 47.3 million was raised in the state budget,” the report states.

A reminder that, since the Russian invasion started, the amount of funds transferred by the Ukrainian government to redeem domestic debt instruments has exceeded the volumes raised in the state budget through auctions for the sale of domestic government bonds by UAH 59.1 billion. According to the National Bank of Ukraine, between February 24, 2022 and August 28, 2022, the Government spent UAH 147.5 billion, USD 1.539 billion and EUR 168.0 million to redeem domestic government bonds and raised UAH 98.939 billion, USD 908.7 million and EUR 384.3 million in the state budget through the placement of new domestic debt instruments at auction.
