Ten ships loaded with grain ready to leave ‘Odesa’ and ‘Chornomorsk’ ports

Seventeen vessels have been loaded in “Odesa” and “Chornomorsk” ports, ten of which are ready to leave.

"Today, the delegation of the Ministry of Infrastructure together with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, ambassadors of G7 countries, Turkey, and UN representatives inspected the process of loading the first ships within the framework of the ‘grain’ initiative sealed in Istanbul. In particular, 17 ships have already been loaded in ‘Odesa’ and ‘Chornomorsk’ ports, ten of which are ready to leave," the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine posted on Telegram.

Grain exports will begin with several ships that had been loaded but were unable to leave port due to the onset of Russia’s full-scale invasion.

"For the first time since February 24, work has resumed in the seaports of Ukraine. Ships that were loaded with grain in the winter are ready to leave as soon as our partners, the UN and Turkey, agree on a ‘green corridor’ towards the Bosphorus Strait," said Minister of Infrastructure of Ukraine Oleksandr Kubrakov.

As reported, Ukraine, Turkey, and UN Secretary-General António Guterres signed the initiative on the safe transportation of grain and foodstuffs from the Ukrainian ports “Odesa”, “Chornomorsk”, and “Pivdenne” in Istanbul on July 22
