FM Kuleba urges countries not to buy Ukrainian grain stolen by Russia

Ukraine’s Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba has called on all nations to reject Russia's proposals to buy cereals stolen in Ukraine.

The head of Ukrainian diplomacy addressed the issue on Twitter, Ukrinform reports.

"Russian thieves steal Ukrainian grain, load it onto ships, pass through Bosporus, and try to sell it abroad. I call on all states to stay vigilant and refuse any such proposals. Don’t buy the stolen. Don’t become accomplices to Russian crimes. Theft has never brought anyone luck," Kuleba warned.

As reported, EU Commissioner for Transport Adina Valean presented in Brussels on May 12 an action plan to establish 'Solidarity Lanes' to ensure Ukraine can export grain, but also import the goods it needs, from humanitarian aid to animal feed and fertilizers. Under the project, 20 million tonnes of grain will be shipped from Ukraine using EU infrastructure in less than three months.

Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry warned consumer countries that consignments of grain sold by Russia may partially or completely contain stolen grain obtained as a result of looting by Russian invaders. Russia's theft of Ukrainian grain is confirmed by numerous testimonies from Ukrainian farmers and other evidence.
