Shmyhal thanks EU for EUR 600M tranche

Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has thanked the European Union for a EUR 600 million tranche.

According to Ukrinform, he wrote this on Twitter.

"Today, the EU disbursed a new tranche of €600 million under the emergency Macro-Financial Assistance Program to Ukraine. Grateful to Ursula von der Leyen and the European Commission for standing with us. We will win and rebuild Ukraine together," Shmyhal wrote.

The EU transferred a new tranche of 600 million euros to Ukraine on Friday, May 20.

On May 18, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said that the European Commission had proposed a plan on assistance to Ukraine and its post-war reconstruction, providing for long-term reforms and investment, as well as immediate short-term macro-financial assistance of EUR 9 billion in 2022.
