Zelensky: Ukraine's economy continues to operate despite war

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and members of the Cabinet of Ministers have discussed current economic issues during martial law in Ukraine.

According to Ukrinform, a relevant statement has been posted on the president’s account on Twitter.

“The meeting on urgent economic issues during martial law. Together with members of the Cabinet of Ministers, we discussed the return of business to work, macroeconomic stability, government spending and other important issues. The Ukrainian economy is operating despite the war," Zelensky said.

He also published a video of the meeting, where members of the government discussed economic issues, the heating season, etc.

As Ukrinform reported, Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal called on Ukrainians, who have jobs or businesses in the areas where there are no hostilities, to resume work in order to support the country’s economy.
