Agrarian policy ministry: 2M hectares already sown with crops in Ukraine

About 2 million hectares of planted areas have already been sown with crops in Ukraine despite the Russian armed aggression.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Agrarian Policy and Food First Deputy Minister Taras Vysotskyi at the Prague Karlsbourse trade fair, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Ukrainian farmers intend to continue the sowing campaign despite all the challenges. Currently, about 2 million hectares have already been sown with crops,” Vysotskyi noted.

The ministry expects that about 70% of the total planted areas will be sown with crops in Ukraine this year.

A reminder that, on April 12, 2022, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced that the sowing campaign had started in all regions of Ukraine, except Luhansk Region.
