Minister Kubrakov: Some metallurgical plants to resume operation this week

As soon as this week, some metallurgical plants will start to partially restore the production and export potential.

The relevant statement was made by Ukrainian Infrastructure Minister Oleksandr Kubrakov during a telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“In recent weeks, we have been actively cooperating with industrial sectors to restore our production and export potential. More specifically, last week we fully checked the metallurgical complex, and there are some results. Some enterprises are resuming operation as soon as this week,” Kubrakov told.

In his words, there are certain logistical issues; ports are not operating.

“But, we are rebuilding logistics to enable them to operate. It is important for many cities, where such plants are the main enterprises creating jobs,” Kubrakov noted.

A reminder that, on February 24, 2022, Russian President Vladimir Putin initiated a full-scale invasion of Ukraine, starting a war. Russian troops are shelling and destroying the key infrastructure facilities, launching missile and air strikes on Ukrainian cities and villages, killing civilians.
