Germany provides EUR 150M loan in support of Ukraine - Scholz

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz has announced the disbursement of a EUR 150 million loan in support of Ukraine.

He said this at a joint press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Kyiv on Monday, February 14, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"I can assure you that we will continue to support [Ukraine], so I am glad that today I can announce a quick disbursement of 150 million euros from the current untied financial loan and I can announce a new untied financial loan, and this is, by the way, in addition to the EU's support for Ukraine," he said.

Scholz added that Germany stands with Ukraine and supports the country on its European path, noting that Germany has made the Ukrainian economy more stable and independent of foreign influence.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz is on a visit to Ukraine on Monday, February 14. On February 15, he is scheduled to visit Moscow.
