Ukraine, Kazakhstan agreed to enhance military cooperation

Ukraine and Kazakhstan have agreed to enhance military cooperation, in particular in the areas of military education, aircraft repair and ammunition disposal.

According to Ukrinform, the Embassy of Ukraine in Kazakhstan reported that the issue of cooperation was discussed at a meeting of Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Kazakhstan Petro Vrublevsky with Deputy Minister of Defense of Kazakhstan, Major General Mukhamedzhan Talasov.

"Ukraine is ready to share with Kazakhstan the experience in the field of military education in the areas of: staff training, advanced training, course training, exchange of teaching experience," the embassy said.

In addition, the officials discussed the possibility of establishing a service center for the repairs of “AN” aircrafts in Kazakhstan, as well as considered the possibility of cooperation in the field of ammunition disposal.

The Ukrainian diplomats have added that they are considering the issue of holding the VIII meeting of the Joint Ukrainian-Kazakhstani Intergovernmental Commission on Military and Technical Cooperation in Kyiv next year.
