Exports of grain and leguminous crops exceed 3M tonnes – Agrarian Policy Ministry

As of August 4, Ukraine’s exports of grain and leguminous crops in the 2021/2022 marketing year (MY, began on July 1, 2021) reached 3.281 million tonnes, which is 42,000 tonnes more than in the same period last MY, Ukrinform reports, referring to the website of the Ministry of Agrarian Policy.

In particular, between July 1 and August 4, 2021, Ukraine exported 1.046 million tonnes of wheat (- 623,000 tonnes compared to the relevant period last MY), 1.235 million tonnes of barley (+170,000 tonnes), 4,800 tonnes of rye (+4,600 tonnes), 983,000 tonnes of corn (+485,000 tonnes).

In addition, over the reporting period, Ukraine exported 13,000 tonnes of flour (-8,800 tonnes).

As reported, in 2020/2021 MY, Ukraine exported 44.72 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, including 16.64 million tonnes of wheat, 4.23 million tonnes of barley, 18.4 thousand tonnes of rye, and 23.08 million tonnes of corn.

According to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy, as of July 29, 2021, almost 24.3 million tonnes of grain of the new harvest were threshed in Ukraine.
