Ukraine, Kazakhstan discuss cooperation in postal sector

Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii and Head of JSC Kazpost, Kazakhstan’s national postal service, Kanat Alpysbayev discussed cooperation between the two countries in the field of postal services and postal logistics, according to the Ukrainian Infrastructure Ministry’s press service.

“Infrastructure Minister of Ukraine Vladyslav Kryklii held a working meeting with Chairman of the Board of Kazpost JSC Kanat Alpysbayev today, November 11. The parties discussed prospects for further cooperation between the two countries in the field of postal services and postal logistics," reads the report.

The meeting took place as part of the official visit of the Ukrainian infrastructure minister to the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Vladyslav Kryklii stressed that both Ukraine and Kazakhstan have great potential for cooperation in this area and the Ukrainian side is very interested in the further development of bilateral cooperation.

He also said that Ukraine pays a lot of attention to the development of the logistics network of post offices.

As reported by Ukrinform, in the scope of cooperation with the European Investment Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, the Ukrainian side is working on a program to modernize and digitize JSC Ukrposhta, Ukraine's postal service, as well as to reform rural branches. The program envisages introducing automatic systems of cargo movement tracking and equipping modern automated sorting centers and the associated network of regional sorting warehouses.
